There are many underground tunnels in the area and easy access to bridges north and highways south, west and east. Manhattan is only 13 miles away. The fact is, Fort Totten has a documented connection to CIA's MK Ultra experiments. There are other CIA connections in Bay Terrace.

The town of Bay Terrace itself was developed by the Cord Meyer in the 1960's. Cord Meyer was also high level CIA operative from 1949-1977. Many important and famous figures in politics, business and entertainment have called and continue to call Bay Terrace and Whitestone home.
